Wes has completed several projects for us including redoing our master bathroom and installing flooring in our house as well rentals that we own. He is a very knowledgeable, skilled builder, an excellent problem solver, and creative. Our master bathroom project included removing the existing tub, expanding the shower with a stepless entry and two shower heads, and completely redoing the tile on the floor and shower. Wes suggested that we remove the drop down ceiling over the vanity and replace it with an arch. This change added a wonderful finished look. Wes also worked on rental properties that we own, replacing flooring, installing cabinets, making repairs, and so forth. His work is always high quality and completed on time.

"Very reliable & his work is top notch."

A severe storm resulted in a leak from the soffit in our kitchen. We found Wes Nelms to repair it. He placed a fan to blow into the opening to make sure everything was dry. Then he returned to re-build the soffit. The repair was so well done that there is no sanding necessary, just repainting.
If you have any type of home repair need, Wes says he can handle it. Carpentry, dry walling, panting, flooring, ceiling, and so much more. He is reasonable, VERY reliable and his work is top notch. I highly recommend him and we plan on using him again soon for some painting.

We hired Wes Nelms two years ago to work on both of our California properties. He did a fabulous job on both. Our rental property required upgraded windows, electrical, plumbing, and a few cosmetic changes to the interior. Wes helped us find the best materials for the best cost. He was reliable and finished all of the projects requested in a timely and professional manner.

Best of all was the total remodel project we had him do on our primary residence. Initially, Wes sat with us and brainstormed options to convert an attached single-car garage, which was used as a lower-level "catch all", into an beautiful extension of our living space. He drafted our ideas and melded them with his expertise and knowledge of building code to maximize every inch of the square footage. Amazingly, he was able to construct for us an additional 100 square feet of space to our dining area, a second full bathroom, a laundry room with a raised platform for our front-loading washer and dryer, extra storage and cabinetry with a utility sink and counter space, and a walk-in pantry. He recessed the refrigerator from the kitchen side of the garage with a storage area above it accessible from the walk-in pantry. We loved the work he did on the addition so much that we hired him to do a full kitchen remodel and an addition of a large, covered front porch with a front door entrance and a covered porch off of our kitchen entrance. Wes communicated daily with us on progress and involved us in decisions and changes that needed to be made. He also gave us ample notice for the ordering and purchasing of items needing installation - cabinets, counters, lighting, appliances, fixtures - which he jokingly referred to as our "homework assignments". It made us feel a part of the process. We were also invited and encouraged to do any labor and clean up we could to save on costs.

Not only is Wes a talented and expert contractor, he also is a true artist and has a trained eye to see design and balance. He custom designed unique features such as wall texture, framing, drywall design, in-wall sound wiring and speakers, and lighting, and found ways to use our desired materials to achieve for us the look and style we wanted.

Wes thinks beyond the typical contractor mind and finds innovative and unique ways to get the most satisfaction for the customer. Wes is considerate, reliable, and trustworthy. We would recommend him to anyone who wants a job done right.
